Colorful, joyful, and full of heart — Vianca and Kevin’s San Miguel de Allende wedding was the kind of celebration that reminds you to slow down and be fully present. (You might even recognize it from their feature on Bajan Wed!)

The weekend began with a traditional callejoneada through the streets, led by a mariachi band and followed by guests laughing, dancing, and celebrating as the city came alive around them. Later, everyone gathered at Bekeb, a rooftop bar overlooking the skyline, to enjoy cocktails, delicious food, and one unforgettable sunset.

The wedding day took place at Hacienda San Luis Gonzaga, a historic property just outside the city. Its warm architecture and old-world charm made it the perfect setting for such a meaningful celebration. From the bride’s grandmother making it to the ceremony against all odds to the explosion of color and energy during la hora loca, every part of the day felt deeply personal. With Pezi Weddings & Events bringing every detail to life, this destination weekend was vibrant, emotional, and a true reflection of love in San Miguel de Allende.

The Callejoneada & Rooftop Welcome Party in San Miguel de Allende

There’s nothing quite like a San Miguel de Allende wedding to remind you why this city feels so alive. Vianca and Kevin’s celebration began with a colorful callejoneada. If you aren’t familiar, you can learn more about the tradition of a callejoneada here. In short, it was a lively parade through the streets filled with mariachi music, laughter, and the joy of everyone joining in!

Before heading to the rooftop welcome party at Bekeb, we explored the city together for a few portraits. From the energy of the parade to the rooftop views at sunset, every part of the weekend captured the beauty and spirit of this incredible destination.

Getting Ready for their San Miguel de Allende Wedding at Hacienda San Luis Gonzaga

The morning began at Hacienda San Luis Gonzaga, where Kevin sat by the window, writing his vows in a soft pool of light. Down the hall, Vianca got ready surrounded by her closest people before the ceremony.

The hacienda’s charm was undeniable. Its arched hallways, tall doors, and blooming courtyards felt like a step back in time. Vianca wore a fitted off-the-shoulder gown paired with a lace-edged veil, while her bridesmaids wore soft blue satin. Kevin and his groomsmen chose classic black tuxedos that felt timeless against the venue’s neutral tones and Spanish architecture. Every detail felt cohesive and intentional. It was a beautiful reflection of a San Miguel de Allende wedding that blended elegance with personality.

Vianca and Kevin exchanged vows in the garden at Hacienda San Luis Gonzaga, surrounded by tall trees, soft light, and loved ones. The ceremony was intimate and heartfelt. Rows of wooden chairs lined with floral arrangements led to a simple altar framed by greenery.

Vianca’s mother walked her down the aisle, a moment filled with emotion and love. Her grandmother’s presence made the day even more meaningful. Tented San Miguel de Allende Wedding Reception at Hacienda San Luis Gonzaga

As the sun set over San Miguel de Allende, Vianca and Kevin’s Hacienda San Luis Gonzaga wedding reception began. A creative escort wall showcased watercolor-painted panels, florals, and glass goblets filled with refreshing cocktails.

Each table featured lush greenery, gold-framed lanterns, and flickering candles that cast a soft, romantic glow. As the night unfolded, laughter echoed across the lawn, and the celebration only grew more vibrant.

When la hora loca began, the energy shifted into pure fiesta mode. Giant traditional puppets took to the dance floor, leading the crowd in nonstop dancing and fun. The colors, music, and movement captured the essence of a true San Miguel wedding celebration. From the heartfelt speeches, nonstop dancing, and late night tacos, Vianca and Kevin’s Hacienda San Luis Gonzaga reception was a night no one will forget — myself included!
