Cambria and Miles’ wedding weekend in Northern Michigan was full of intention, joy, and the kind of moments that unfold best when you let the day breathe. From lake views and summer light to thoughtful details woven throughout the weekend, every part of their day felt grounded. Hosting a Noverr Farms wedding in Traverse City gave them the perfect setting to bring all of it together.
Set just outside of town, Noverr Farms offered wide-open views of Lake Leelanau and a relaxed atmosphere. The natural beauty of the setting is what makes Northern Michigan weddings feel so special. With a full weekend of celebrating, Cambria and Miles’ Traverse City wedding was a perfect reminder of why this region continues to be such a meaningful place to host wedding weekends.

A Colorful Delamar Traverse City Michigan Wedding Welcome Party
Cambria and Miles kicked off their wedding weekend with a welcome party at Delamar in Traverse City on the Dayclub and Lakeshore Terrace. Set right along the water, the evening felt relaxed and celebratory. Stunning lake views, warm light, and perfect summer weather greeted guests as they arrived.
Cam’s welcome party dress had such beautiful texture. Her bridesmaids’ colorful dresses added to the warm feel of the night. Guests mingled on the terrace overlooking Grand Traverse Bay, sharing drinks, laughter, and heartfelt speeches as sailboats drifted by in the distance. The setting felt timeless and distinctly Northern Michigan. It was a thoughtful and inviting start to the weekend, setting the perfect tone for their Noverr Farms wedding ahead.

Getting Ready, First Look & Portraits at Noverr Farms
The morning began at a cozy downtown Traverse City Airbnb. Everyone shared laughs and you could feel all of the anticipation! It was one of those mornings that felt relaxed yet full, the kind that makes you want to slow down and take it all in. When everyone arrived at Noverr Farms wedding venue in Traverse City, Michigan, that same energy carried right along with them.
Some of my favorite moments as a Michigan wedding photographer happen long before the ceremony ever begins, and Cam’s dress was one of them. When she said yes to her Dana Harel gown, she texted me photos right away, sharing the excitement in real time. Seeing that dress again on the wedding day, with its intricate lace and beautiful detailing felt incredibly special. The black and white images from this part of the day highlight just how striking and timeless those details truly were.
After Cam shared a first look with her bridesmaids, her and Miles also chose to do a first look. With stunning views of Lake Leelanau behind them, it was a calm and intimate moment. It really gave them space to slow down and fully take in seeing each other for the first time on their wedding day. From there, portraits flowed effortlessly. Their easy chemistry meant very little posing was needed. They just naturally fell into each other while moving through the rolling landscape at Noverr Farms.

Outdoor Noverr Farms Traverse City, Michigan Wedding Ceremony
About thirty minutes before the ceremony, the skies shifted and the weather became the biggest question mark of the day. From Noverr Farms, you can see straight across Lake Leelanau, and watching the storm move in had everyone holding their breath. Guests waited with umbrellas nearby, while the vendor team stayed closely connected behind the scenes.
This is where being emotionally in tune with your couple really matters. Knowing what’s most important, reading the room, and staying flexible in real time can change everything. Holding the ceremony outdoors meant a lot to Cam, so every decision was made with that priority at the center. When the clouds finally cleared, everything fell into place, allowing their Traverse City wedding to unfold just as it was meant to.
The ceremony took place on the open lawn at Noverr Farms, with the most vibrant summery florals and wide-open views of Lake Leelanau. The bridesmaids’ sunset-inspired dresses brought so much warmth and color to the space, perfectly complementing the setting. It was all very true to a Northern Michigan summer wedding!

Cocktail Hour & Noverr Farms Wedding Reception in Traverse City, Michigan
After the ceremony, guests gathered outdoors for cocktail hour. Everyone eased into the evening with drinks, conversation, and those beautiful Northern Michigan views. Moments like this are what make a Noverr Farms wedding feel so special. It felt unhurried, welcoming, and connected to its Traverse City setting.
Guests then moved inside the barn for a reception that felt lively from the start. Cambria and Miles made their entrance to cheers before sharing their first dance. Heartfelt toasts followed, filling the space with laughter and emotion. The energy only grew as guests lifted the bride and groom up in chairs, with guests even joining in on the fun.
As the sun dipped lower, Cambria and Miles stepped outside for sunset portraits, taking in one of Northern Michigan’s most beautiful views. Afterwards, Cam changed into a lighter late-night dress that was perfect for dancing. From her welcome party look to her ceremony gown and final outfit change, her style was on point! The band kept the dance floor full, bringing a high-energy. Their Traverse City wedding was certainly one I’ll never forget.

Love From Cambria:
“We truly cannot say enough good things about Patty! Her attention to detail was absolutely incredible, and everyone at our wedding was obsessed with her.
Patty was the ultimate hype woman all weekend long, gave the perfect direction for posed photos, and captured the most stunning candids. On top of all that, she was just such a kind, lovely presence to have with us throughout the day and leading up to our wedding.
Patty also went so far above and beyond her job description. When the weather turned to rain just 30 minutes before our ceremony, she somehow managed to play the dual role of photographer and day-of coordinator, keeping everything running smoothly and everyone calm.
Patty is seriously the best and we couldn’t recommend her more!”
