Where do I even begin to talk about how special this wedding is to me? I guess I will start from the beginning. I first met Des back in August of 2016. I contacted her via Instagram after I noticed she was a trainer at a local gym. I hired her to coach me as I was on a journey to better health. We often times talked about our goals, dreams and relationships during our 30 minutes to hour sessions together. I had just started wedding photography and she told me she would hire me the day she got married. Fast forward a few years we continued to stay in touch. If you know Des, you know that she has a huge influence in the fitness industry and has created such a powerful platform for herself. She changes lives of so many on a daily, inspiring women to be the best version of themselves. If you don’t know her, you should.
So upon getting engaged she reached out to me right away and hired me as her wedding photographer. To me this wedding is more than photographing someone who so many look up to/ consider to be famous. This was special because I got to watch my friend marry the man she loves. I got to see my friend who when I first met was learning to trust God with her future. I remember the countless times we had conversations of her desire to become a wife, and what that meant to her. I was able to fly down to Florida in December to visit her and Wyatt as well as take their engagement photos. I watched how much love and care Wyatt shows towards her. How he motivates her and doesn’t let jealousy take hold of him. He loves her so unconditionally, and quite honestly I couldn’t imagine her with anyone else.
Wedding day was absolutely incredible, the joy that filled the air kept me smiling. When I arrived I remember thinking holy smokes it may rain. But I said a prayer and asked the Lord to hold the rain. I went to see Des and with no doubt in her mind she said “it won’t rain, I know God has His hand over this day.” and when everyone else may have doubted, she remained confident that the Lord was in it. She was right!
The rain held off, they got to have their ceremony outside, and the pictures they wanted. And while during their portraits it did start to rain, it was the perfect small storm to bring in a rainbow for them. The Lord’s faithful promise!
I am so incredibly honored and proud of Desiree and Wyatt, I have no doubts that together they will continue to change the world and impact people’s lives.
A huge appreciation to all the vendors who helped make this day possible for the couple.
Your work does not go unnoticed (vendors will be tagged at the bottom of this blog.)
Congratulations again, Des & Wyatt!
